21 Jul Endometriosis and Cannabis Use
Endometriosis is a very common female reproductive chronic condition millions of women deal with on a daily basis. In the United States, 1 in 10 women suffer from endometriosis, which is equivalent to approximately 176 million women in the U.S. You are not alone with this condition! Many women have tried different treatment modalities, some being successful, and others are not.
Cannabis has been used for the management of many common chronic health conditions for many years. Research shows that endometriosis has been successfully managed with Medical Marijuana by many women who suffer from this chronic condition. A study conducted in Australia in 2017 found that Cannabis use, heat, and CBD oil were the most effective treatment measures for pain reduction in women with endometriosis.
The key is to find a medical cannabis provider in your area. More and more states are passing legislation making medical cannabis legal by way of using medical cannabis dispensaries. Please follow your state guidelines to ensure you are adhering to the state laws.
